From the Studio to the Kitchen — Hip Hop Artist G Perico Drops a Meal with Everytable
LOS ANGELES, May 12, 2025 – Everytable, the mission-driven company making scratch-cooked, nutritious food accessible to everyone, everywhere, has teamed up with South LA’s own G Perico — hip hop artist, actor and entrepreneur— to serve up something bold: Birria Mac & Cheese. Just like his music, this meal is a remix of cultures, creativity, and real flavor, made from scratch.
Born and raised in South LA, G Perico didn’t follow a blueprint — he made his own. His foundation was built by his grandmother, a natural hustler who made sure he stayed active — whether it was sports, school, or eventually, music. She wasn’t loud about it, but she made moves. She once managed local artists and passed on values G still lives by today: build it yourself, cut through the noise, and stay rooted in purpose. He credits her not just for raising him but for sparking his entry into music — encouraging him to head to the studio to stay out of trouble. That small push changed the trajectory of his life.
Music surrounded G from the beginning — booming radios, uncles with home studios, and a neighborhood that pulsed with rhythm. But over time, his story expanded beyond the mic. He launched a clothing line and artist merch. He is acting and working on film projects. He opened a boxing gym in South LA and a performing arts space for kids to learn AI and more; he’s built a network of assets that reflect both hustle and vision.
The Inspiration:
For G, entrepreneurship and artistry go hand in hand. “They both start with an idea,” he says. “Then it’s about putting in the work — building it up, making it real, and figuring out how to get it out into the world.” Inspiration hits him on the move — driving around LA, soaking in the city, talking to people, playing music, staying in motion. “When I’m uncomfortable, that’s when I grow,” he says. “If something’s too easy, I probably won’t even mess with it. But if people say it can’t be done? That’s the one I want to go after.”
The Birria Mac & Cheese meal came from that same place — the streets he grew up on, the foods that shaped him, and the everyday mashups that make LA, LA.
“I grew up on a lot of Hispanic food — tacos, asada, all of that. But I also grew up on soul food — mac and cheese, greens, the works. So for me, it’s always been this natural blend of both cultures. That’s just how we live out here in South LA. Everybody’s mixing it up. I wanted to create something that reflects where I come from — something the people I grew up with could relate to and enjoy. I used to throw leftovers together — some tacos, some mac and cheese — and that combo just stuck with me. So this meal isn’t just about flavor, it’s about blending cultures, and creating something new that still feels familiar.”

The collaboration also drops alongside G’s latest project, his new album LA Gangster — a continuation of his story through sound. Released on April 18, the album is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.

G Perico’s Birria Mac & Cheese is the fifth in a series of Everytable meal collaborations that embody the stories, flavors and inspirations of a dynamic group of influencers, musicians, leaders, entrepreneurs, chefs and culinary innovators. 2025 kicked off with a partnership with chef and wellness entrepreneur Charles Chen offering a delicious, healthy take on Taiwanese Braised Pork. Followed by a collaboration with two-time James Beard-nominated chef and co-owner and executive chef at critically acclaimed Alta Adams and a best-selling author, Chef Keith Corbin - to create a California style chicken sausage gumbo, called Chef Corbin’s California Gumbo. At the end of 2024, Everytable and actor, author and lifestyle influencer Keith Manley launched Keith’s Spicy Shrimp and Noodles, a fusion of bold Asian flavors and Southern-style comfort. In November, Evertyable partnered with My Friend’s Place, a center dedicated to serving unhoused young people in Hollywood, to offer a savory Thanksgiving meal focused on friendship.
